The Places You Have Come To Fear The Most

The past few days have involved celebrating one of my closest friends' turning the ripe ol' age of 21 (happy birthday A, you are awesome!), rediscovering my love of Dashboard Confessional and milo cereal, desperately wanting a pair of lace scalloped shorts, spending ridiculous amounts of money on food, attempting to convince my mother that clubbing is a-ok, making a fool of myself by falling over in a crowded food court (yes, I am that clumsy), trying to control my constant cravings for food and redskins, and attempting to cut down on my online shopping wish list. Now, I am going to survive placement and the crying but absolutely gorgeous babies that it brings. 1 day down, 9 more to go.

Now playing: Dashboard Confessional - Again I Go Unnoticed

Another wasted night.
The television steals the conversation.
Exhale.
Another wasted breath, again it goes unnoticed.
Please tell me you're just feeling tired,
'Cause if it's more than that I feel that I might break.

1. the mess that happens when i'm trying to decide what to wear, 2. fizz in the bottle, 3. $2.80 goodness, 4. fish & chips for three, 5. tartare sauce + calamari + thick cut chips = love, 6. yes, that is a fork. on a necklace. 7. when boredom takes over, 8/9: loofah!

The past few days have been ossssum! On Sunday, after a whole lot of umming and ahhing over whether or not it was a good idea to go or not, I ended up going (of course) to the market. A and I went breakfast hunting (what a fail), before running for the 8:06 train. Just checking, $20 is too much for a ring, right? Even if it looks like this? So, so, cute. I ended up not spending too much, I just bought (another) pussybow blouse, a grey sweater thing, and a fork necklace.

Melbourne was graced with lovely beach weather on Tuesday and Wednesday. And that was exactly where I spent Tuesday - at the beach with B and C, soaking up the sunshine while it lasted. The day involved us spending $30 on ice-cream, liquids (to avoid passing out), iced coffee and iced chocolate, fighting over aeroplanes, coconut oil, "take a dirty picture for me", seagulls stealing chips, no jellyfish in sight, grenades and gorillas, "i whip my hair back and forth", and me hitting C unintentionally three times in a row. "What? He's on crack? How can you tell?!" I was planning on getting a tan - to unpale myself. Unfortunately, I came home sunburnt - with one red leg, and a red shoulder. Fail.

Yesterday, I spent the day with A, we wandered around Ikea, filled up on meatballs and 50c ice-cream. Or, in A's case, hair and nostril dipped ice-cream, bahaha. We ended up walking for quite awhile in search of Daiso, a Japanese store selling everything for $2.80 each. I'd say it's an upmarket $2 store. We both had to cut down our goods to avoid spending over $20 on stuff we didn't need. "Fit pad for the tiptoe", hahaha lol forever. It was such a hot day, and we were happy to finish the day by chilling at A's house watching Pretty Little Liars, photo-stalking Ian Smoulderhalder & Paul Wesley (nom!), and snacking on peanutbutter pretzels.

Now playing: My Chemical Romance - The Only Hope For Me Is You

If there's a place that I could be
Then I'd be another memory
Can I be the only hope for you?
Because you're the only hope for me

Okay, so I admit that this was what got me through my exam period I was doing instead of being productive during exam time. The following week will be one of freedom, 30 degree sunny weather (summer is officially on it's waaay!), mass amounts of raspberry popsicle eating, being a happy chapstick, copious amounts of online shopping, and wondering what my bestfriend is up to in the U.S. Yay, it's time to hit the beach and unpale myself! I have to make the most of next week, because for the two weeks after that, I will have block placement. Oh boo hoo. Whoops, sorry, that's the babies' job.

Now playing: Two Door Cinema Club - Eat That Up, It's Good For You.

Yesterday's news: looking out for the 75 tram, Tee's inability to tell whether I was being sarcastic or not, ligonberry, odd men, desert boot wedges, fuzzy blocked voices, monotone taunts, flowerbomb (!!!), Spark La, skinning the cake.

I am a weakling now. A day of shopping now renders me dazed and drained. I realised that this is probably because I spend miniscule amounts of time shopping. But this happens on many occasions.. if that makes any sense. Point is, I don't have enough energy anymore. To fix this, I should spend full days out with my lovelies instead of squeezing that time into morning coffee catch ups, midnight skype chats (lol), and whatnot. However, with Christmas and my block placement looming, I don't see that happening. Sadly, I will be sniffing babies to check for accidents instead of sniffing perfumes, wrapping wraps instead of wrapping presents, collecting money instead of spending it, feeding babies smushed up apples instead of stuffing my face with junk, explaining what a wrap is instead of explaining why I should buy those shoes.. you get the gist!

Now playing: Brandon Flowers - Playing With Fire

I'm not gonna tell you that I'm sorry,
But there aint nothin you can do to change my mind.
I'm not here to know the things I cannot do.

This song makes me so happy. It makes me want to jump around like a maniac, throw confetti everywhere and eat toffee apples all day long. A world full of skittles. But in reality, I just sit there and... bop. It would amazing to see it performed live, but too bad their gig in Feb 2011 is SOLD OUT :'(

We're all walking around with these glossy eyes. "I'm just tired", we say. But you know what? It's bullshit. Yes, we are tired, but it's not all from lack of sleep. We are tired of waking up with nothing to look forward to, tired of going to bed exhausted after doing a million things we find no enjoyment in doing. We're tired of this void, this emptiness that looms over us even though our days are packed. We're tired of the loneliness that presses down on us even though we're surrounded by dozens of people. So why can't we just say it? - {Source}

Now playing: Two Door Cinema Club - Do You Want It All

Low in our hearts, we're low in our heads.
All in good time.
Do you want it? Do you want it all?
